The Indian Institute of Technology will conduct the GATE 2022 exam as a computer based test on February 5, 6, 12 and 13. Students who will appear in the IITKGP GATE 2022 should know the important details for the exam day such as things to be carried at the GATE exam centre, guidelines to be followed inside and outside the exam centre, and more.

The GATE exam 2022 will be conducted paper-wise. As per the GATE 2022 examination schedule released by the authorities, the day 1 of GATE exam 2022 will be held for CSE, BM, EE, and MA.

GATE 2022: Guidelines for the exam day

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre 30 minutes after the start of the GATE exam 2022.

Entry of any candidate who is COVID 19 positive, having any contagious or infectious disease, must not come out of hospital/ home will be denied entry inside the exam hall.

Before an entry inside the exam centre, the authorities at the IITKGP GATE 2022 exam centre will assess the health of aspirants.

Calculators, watches, mobile phone or any kind of electronic gadgets will be prohibited inside the GATE 2022 exam centre.
Recently, the supreme court has dismissed the plea to postpone the GATE 2022 exam. Students who will appear in the GATE 2022 paper are constantly demanding GATE exam postponement due to coronavirus cases in India. However, the authorities have decided to conduct the GATE exam 2022 as scheduled, that is, February 5, 6, 12 and 13.
