Try NowNEW DELHI : The last date to register without late fee for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 is October 5. Eligible aspirants who have not applied yet can fill the GATE 2024 application form through the GATE 2024 official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore which is organising the entrance exam this year received more than 1,37,000 applications on September 29, which was the deadline initially, and thus decided to extend the registration deadline without a late fee. However, the last date to register with a late fee is October 13.
Candidates belonging to the reserved category and female candidates are required to pay Rs 900 while those belonging to all other categories will have to submit Rs 1,800 in order to register for GATE 2024.
Students can make fee payment through credit card, debit card, net banking, EMI, wallet, or UPI. Around 78 percent of the candidates used UPI to pay the application fee, as per a post on X.
Recently, the institute informed on X that the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) will be using GATE 2024 score for recruitment of executive trainees in six engineering disciplines including chemical, civil, electrical, electronics, instrumentation, and mechanical.
The scrutiny of GATE 2024 application form began on September 30 and will be completed by October 31. Candidates whose application forms do not comply with the specifications regarding photograph, signature, photo ID, category certificates, etc. will be marked "defective." Students will be given an opportunity to rectify the errors to take the application forward for further consideration.
