GATE 2027 application correction window opens at gate2027.iitm.ac.in; edit form by October 31

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has opened the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 application correction window. Candidates who registered for GATE 2027 and paid the application fee can access the GATE 2026 application edit window and make the allowed changes through the official website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in.

The GATE 2027 application correction window will remain open until 5 pm on October 21, 2026. IIT Madras has said that no further extension will be given after the correction window deadline ends. Candidates are allowed to edit only a few selected details in their submitted application forms.

The GATE 2027 correction facility includes changes to the photograph, signature and test state or city preferences. No other details in the submitted GATE 2027 application form can be changed through the correction window. Certain corrections may require an additional fee.

GATE 2027 application correction window: Steps to edit

Candidates can follow the steps below to edit their GATE 2027 application form.

• Visit the official GATE website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in
• On the homepage, click on the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal using the registered credentials.
• Access the application correction facility on the candidate dashboard
• Review the submitted application form and find what needs to be corrected
• Make changes to the fields permitted for editing and upload supporting documents, if required
• Pay the applicable correction fee, wherever necessary
• Submit the corrected application form and save a copy of the updated form for future use

Candidates will not be allowed to make changes in the application form after the last date ends.

GATE 2027 application correction: Details that can be changed

Candidates will be able to request changes to selected application details mentioned below:

• Gender and category
• PwD status and details of specified learning disabilities
• Parents’ or guardian’s details and correspondence address
• College name, location, roll number and registration number
• Qualifying degree details
• Examination paper and examination city
