: The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has successfully conducted the of GATE Civil engineering 2022 exam. The first shift (Forenoon shift) was held from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. While shift 2 (afternoon shift) was conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

GATE CE 2022 Exam Highlights (Shift 1 and 2)

The overall difficulty level of the GATE CE exam was moderate.

Numerical method questions had more weightage in GATE CE paper 2022.

The previous year GATE CE cutoff was 29.2 marks.

Examination for GATE Civil Paper was conducted in two shifts i.e. Forenoon shift (09:00 -12:00 hrs) and the afternoon shift (14:30- 17:30 hrs) on February 12.
GATE CE Paper Analysis 2022 Shift 1
According to students to appeared in today's GATE CE paper, the IITKGP Civil Engineering question paper was easy, however, some General Aptitude questions were difficult. Therefore, the overall difficulty level was moderate. The GATE CE 2022 question papers comprises 7 MSC, 35 MCQ and 23 NAT questions. There was only one question from SOM modular ratio. Environmental and Geotechnical engineering had high weightage with 11 marks each.
GATE CE Paper Analysis 2022 Shift 2
The GATE CE 2022 paper for shift 2 had 7 MSC, 34 MCQ and 24 NAT questions, same as shift 1. The difficulty level of shift 2 GATE CE paper was also similar to that of shift 1 that is moderate. Only one question was asked from structural dynamics. While the highest number of questions were asked from Geotechnical, environmental and transportation engineering.

GATE 2022 CE expected cut off
The GATE Civil cutoff 2022 will be released along with the result on March 17. Candidates can check the minimum marks to qualify for the GATE 2022 exam soon. The qualified candidates can apply for admissions in post-graduation or PSU recruitment through GATE. The authorities consider certain factors while preparing the cutoff such as level of difficulty and cutoff trends. Till then, candidates can check the GATE civil engineering previous year cutoff for reference.
