Director of the Council of Architecture Training and Research Centre Jayashree Deshpande and dean of research and scholastic development of the Chitkara University Harveen Bhandari were present as chief guests on the occasion. The guests present at the event opined that the research process is a continuous cycle of checking and re-checking, evaluating and analysing, and repeating the entire process over and over again.
On the occasion, Jayashree Deshpande said the students should start reading and discussing the topic to develop a sense of the question. “They should then put the answer in their own words and then present the finding and respond to the questions of the audience. Research symposiums are the need of the hour,” she added.
Harveen Bhandari briefed about the steps involved in a good paper presentation. Sunil Kumar, director, School of Architecture felicitated the guests. Kurri Sravanthi, convener of the symposium, delivered the welcome note and Souporni Paul, coordinator of the event, proposed the vote of thanks. Vibhuti Sachdev, dean of architecture, GSA also participated during the occasion.
