GMCET 2022: First common entrance test for media aspirants on July 10
GMCET 2022 will be conducted for admission to media and journalism UG courses such as BMS, BJMC, BMM, etc.

NEW DELHI: The first regional level common entrance test for admission to mass communication and media-related courses, Global Media Common Entrance Test or GMCET 2022 (phase 1) will be held on July 10.
GMCET will be conducted in different phases. The next phases of GMCET exam 2022 are scheduled for July 24, August 7 and 24, September 4, and 8. Candidates can apply for GMCET 2022 till July 9 and pay the application fee of Rs. 1000 through credit card, debit card, and internet banking.
GMCET eligibility criteria 2022
Candidates who have passed the 10+2 or any equivalent education are eligible for the GMCET exam. Candidates belonging to the General category should have 50% marks in aggregate, whereas candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC categories should have 45% in order to appear in the GMCET exam.

The GMCET participating universities from India include Sharda University, Alliance University, National School of Journalism, Noida International University, Auro University, Presidency University, GITAM University, LNCT University, Ajeenkya D.Y. Patil University, Mody University, Jagran Lakecity University, NSHM Knowledge Campus, Centurion University, Vivekananda Global University, Invertis University, Bahra University and many more.
The entrance test will be held for providing UG admission to courses such as BA-JMC and BJMC, BMS (Bachelor of Media Studies), BMC (Bachelor of Mass Communication), BMM (Bachelor of Mass Media), BA (Media & Communication), and BSc (Animation & Graphics).

The students will be assessed based on their communication skills and necessary analytics and logical reasoning. It is a 100-mark paper with 25 questions each testing English language and IQ, general knowledge of news and current affairs, entertainment media knowledge, brands and basic brand communication knowledge. The GMCET 2022 exam will be conducted in the online mode and can be taken from home.
