Download NowNEW DELHI: Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) is expected to take a decision on GSEB Class 10 and 12 examinations 2021 soon. The Gujarat government on April 15 decided to postpone the Gujarat board Class 10 and 12 examinations due to the surge in COVID-19-positive cases. Along with this, the government also announced that the situation will be reviewed on May 15, 2021, and thereafter, new dates for the Gujarat board exam 2021 will be decided.
The Gujarat CMO tweeted on April 15, "In the wake of COVID19 pandemic, Gujarat Govt decides to postpone Class 10 and 12 board examinations, scheduled to be held between May 10 to 25 and mass promotion for students of Class 1 to 9 and 11. New dates to be announced after reviewing the coronavirus situation on May 15, 2021."

Initially, the GSEB Class 10 and 12 exams were scheduled to begin from May 10 and May 25, 2021, respectively. However, these exams stand postponed until further notice. The Gujarat board has also decided to promote Class 9 and 11 students through internal assessment.
Students are also demanding to cancel the GSEB Class 10 and 12 exams 2021 due to the increase in the COVID-19 cases in the state.
