Gujarat NEET UG 2026 seat matrix out with 5,891 state quota MBBS seats; choice filling begins today

The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) has published the Gujarat National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate (UG) 2026 seat matrix for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. The Round 1 online choice-filling process begins today, August 24, 2026, for eligible candidates included in the merit list.

Candidates can fill their choices for government, management and NRI seats in medical and dental undergraduate courses from August 24 to 27, 2026, till 1 pm. The choices filled by candidates will be displayed on August 27 up to 4 pm.

Gujarat NEET UG 2026 seat matrix

As per the released seat matrix, Gujarat has 7,500 MBBS seats across government, self-financed, Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society (GMERS), and other listed medical institutions. The matrix includes 317 AIQ seats, 430 management quota seats and 862 NRI seats, with 5,891 seats under the government quota.

For BDS admissions, the seat matrix lists 1,255 seats across government and self-financed dental colleges. This includes 36 AIQ seats, 87 management quota seats, 148 NRI seats and 984 government quota seats.

The government medical colleges listed in the matrix include B J Medical College, Ahmedabad; Government Medical College, Surat; Shri M P Shah Government Medical College, Jamnagar; Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Medical College, Rajkot; Government Medical College, Bhavnagar; and Government Medical College, Vadodara, among others.

• Check the 2026 seat matrix before filling choices.
• Click on Gujarat NEET choice filling.
• Select your preferred MBBS/BDS colleges and courses.
• Arrange choices in order of preference.
• Review the choices and save/confirm them.
• Lock the choices before the deadline.
• Download or print the final choice list for future reference.

Candidates participating in the Gujarat NEET UG counselling are advised to carefully enter their preferred courses and colleges during the choice-filling window and check the displayed choices after the process closes.
