The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has opened the registrations for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET 2026) for science stream students seeking admission to engineering or pharmacy courses. The Gujarat Board has notified a four-step application process including registration, login, payment, and filling of the application form.
Students who have studied in the HSC science stream have to choose Group A, B, or AB for appearing for engineering, pharmacy, or both papers. The GSEB announced the GUJCET exam date 2026 in November and clarified that the entrance exam will be based on the NCERT Class 12 science stream.
As per the schedule, the GUJCET exam 2026 will be held on March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at district-level exam centres across the state. Last year, as many as 1,29,706 candidates registered for the GUJCET exam.
Candidates can follow these four steps to fill the GUJCET application form 2026.
Registration – Visit the GUJCET official website, gseb.org or gujcet.gseb.org. Click on registration or ‘new registration’ and fill in your name in the student name column. Type your parent’s and guardian’s name in the specific column. Students from other state boards are required to fill in their name as given in Class 12 marksheet.
Select gender and then enter a 10-digit mobile number and valid email address. Create an eight digit password containing one capital letter, one small letter, one number, and one special character.
Login – After generating the password, candidates will have to login from the main page of the website using their mobile number, password, and captcha code as shown on the screen. To recover the forgotten password, candidates can click on ‘Forgot password’ option to retrieve the details on the registered mobile number.
Fee payment - Candidates will have to pay an GUJCET exam fee of Rs 350 through SBIePay system using credit, debit card, or net banking.
“Fees can also be paid using SBIePay “SBI Branch Payment” option in any SBI Branch of the country. To pay in SBI Branch Log in to gujcet.gseb.org and in payment option SBIePay, Select SBI Branch payment option and take print out of payment slip,” the board said.
The option to fill the GUJCET application form will only be displayed after the fee payment.
Filling application form – Applicants are required to enter their name, parent’s name, date of birth, gender, disability if any, caste, address and other personal and academic details.
Candidates who have studied in Gujarat Board have to select or fill the Board-code ‘01’. The other board candidates will have to fill the code according to the list given in the booklet.
While filling the form, students will have to upload their passport size photograph and signature in the JPG format not more than 50 KB size (Dimension 120 Px X 120 Px).
