Haryana Budget 2022: Govt to open 6 nursing colleges soon, says medical education minister

NEW DELHI: The Haryana government decided to set up 6 nursing colleges in 6 districts of the state, medical education minister Anil Vij said during the Vidhan Sabha session. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will inaugurate the colleges soon, he said.

“During the Haryana Vidhan Sabha session, Medical Education Minister, Anil Vij said that the State Government is going to open Nursing Colleges in 6 districts, which will be inaugurated soon by the Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal,” the Department of Public Relations tweeted.

“Vij said that the state government has formulated a new nursing policy. Under this, there should be a 100 bedded hospital in a nursing college or a nursing college accredited from a NABH certified hospital located within a radius of 10 km and the capacity of that hospital should be 100 beds,” it said.

Meanwhile, the Haryana government has set up a helpdesk at Mumbai airport to help Indian students and nationals returning from war-hit Ukraine. The government has contacted 700 out of 1,786 students from the state studying in Ukraine, while 90 students have been brought back from the war-hit country, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Tuesday.

"Inspector Ajay Malik , Sub Inspector Ravinder kumar, P/SI Mohit kumar and Satyawan JE (hafed) are manning the help desk at Mumbai airport to assist Haryana students. All Haryana Students returning from Ukraine will be brought back safely," the Gurugram Police had said.
