Masters’ Union University to offer programmes in management, technology and engineering

Masters’ Union is set to establish a new university campus in Gurugram after the Haryana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, approved the proposal for the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2026. The approval comes after the Haryana government issued a letter of intent and marks a key step in Masters’ Union’s transition from a business and technology school to a full-fledged university.
The proposed university will expand Masters’ Union’s practitioner-led and experiential learning model across management, technology and engineering. It also plans to develop programmes and learning pathways in areas such as family business and executive education.

Pratham Mittal, founder of Masters’ Union, said the cabinet approval would allow the institution to take its learning model to a larger scale.
Mittal said, “We started Masters’ Union with a simple belief that students learn some things best by actually building, solving and doing. The Cabinet approval gives us an opportunity to take that philosophy to the scale of a university.”
He added that the university would focus on real-world industry problems, entrepreneurship, practitioner-led learning and applied research.
The proposed university site covers approximately 5.14 acres of contiguous land in Gurugram. It has an existing built-up area of around 1.07 lakh square feet, including approximately 96,600 square feet of instructional space, besides administrative and other amenities.
Masters’ Union plans to expand the infrastructure as the university grows. Its campus vision includes accelerator and venture-building spaces, maker and analytics laboratories, student residences, cultural and sports facilities, and research and incubation infrastructure.
The university proposal underwent the statutory scrutiny required under the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006. It was examined by the Academic Committee and Finance Committee. A committee chaired by the Chairperson of the Haryana State Higher Education Council also recommended the issuance of the Letter of Intent subject to stipulated conditions.
Masters’ Union said it has recorded strong outcomes in placements and entrepreneurship over the past five years.
In its latest placement cycle, the institution reported an average compensation of Rs 34.07 lakh per annum, while four offers crossed Rs 1 crore. The highest package stood at Rs 1.28 crore per annum.
The institution also reported 30 international offers across the US, Canada, UAE and Saudi Arabia, with an average compensation of Rs 64 lakh per annum. The placement report was audited by B2K Analytics, formerly known as Brickwork Analytics.
Entrepreneurship is another key component of the Masters’ Union model. The institution said it has supported more than 80 student startups through its Venture Initiation Programme and other initiatives.
Ten startups incubated through the Venture Initiation Programme have raised more than Rs 22 crore and reported combined annual revenue of Rs 35 crore in FY25, according to Masters’ Union.
Student-founded ventures have received investments from firms and investors including 100X.VC, Lumikai, Big Bets and IIFL Wealth. Recently, Meta Fashion, a student-founded digital fashion startup focused on virtual fashion for gaming platforms, raised around USD 400,000 in a Lumikai-led pre-seed funding round.
Masters’ Union currently has more than 3,000 students and offers programmes in management, technology and engineering, along with family business and executive learning.
Its faculty includes academics as well as entrepreneurs, CXOs, investors, technologists and other industry practitioners. The institution said this approach is intended to connect classroom learning with real-world business and industry experience.
With the proposed university, Masters’ Union aims to build on this model at a larger scale while adding to Haryana’s higher education capacity and strengthening Gurugram’s position as a centre for education, entrepreneurship and industry.
