Haryana Nuh Violence: All schools, colleges to be closed in Sohna subdivision tomorrow
To ensure safety of students, all government and private educational institutions will be closed on August 2. Five people were killed in the Nuh violence.

NEW DELHI: The Office of District Magistrate, Gurugram has directed all schools and educational institutions in Sohna subdivision to be closed tomorrow, August 2, in view of the communal tension in the neighbouring Nuh district.
Five people were killed and several injured as a mob tried to stop a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession. In Nuh, mobile internet services were suspended till Wednesday to contain the "intense communal tension", the Haryana government said.
“Taking into consideration the current situation, it has come to the attention of there is a communal tension in the neighbouring district of Nuh, which has led to blockage of roads by anti-social elements in bordering parts of Gurugram particularly Sohna,” the official statement read.
“To avoid any untoward incident and ensure safety of the students, it is deemed necessary to close all government and private educational institutions in Sohna subdivision of Gurugram district on August 2, in view of the prevailing situation,” the order read.
The deputy commissioner Gurugram appealed to the people “to refrain from posting content on social media that could hurt religious sentiments or threaten harmony”.
