HCU Students' Union Elections 2026: Dilshada Raihan from AISA-DSU-SFI-TSF alliance won president post

The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has announced the UoH Students Union Election 2026 results. Dilshada Raihan from the All India Students’ Association (AISA), Ambedkar Students’ Association (ASA), Dalit Students’ Union (DSU), Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and Tribal Students’ Forum (TSF) alliance has bagged the president post with 221 votes.

Korra Nithin Chauhan from TSF has won the vice president post with a total of 212 votes, while Pratik from ASA got 177 votes, and has been elected as the general secretary.

Naresh Podishetti, from the ABVP-SLVD alliance lost the presidential post to Raihan by getting 197 votes in the HCU Students’ Union Elections 2026. Jisti from the AISA-ASA-DSU-SFI-TSF alliance has won the PHD board member seat from SEST.

Hashita (SFI) from the AISA-ASA-DSU-SFI-TSF alliance has bagged the PHD board member seat from the School of Life Sciences (SLS). Bijoy, an independent candidate, has been elected as a school board member from the School of Mathematics.

University of Hyderabad Students' Union Polls 2026

Sahil from the ABVP-SLVD alliance has won the councillor seat from the School of Mathematics. Jiyasherin from the ABVP-SLVD alliance wins the ICC GS-Cash Integrated Seat.

Shreyanth (SFI) from the AISA-ASA-DSU-SFI-TSF alliance wins the PHD board member seat from the School of Chemistry and Sriram (SFI) from the AISA-ASA-DSU-SFI-TSF wins the PG board member seat from Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication.

Around 5,900 students were eligible to vote, while 220 candidates contested nine central posts and 59 school board councillor seats across 13 schools.

An alliance was formed between the All India Students’ Association (AISA), Ambedkar Students’ Association (ASA), Dalit Students’ Union (DSU), Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and Tribal Students’ Forum (TSF) and contested Dilshada Raihan as its presidential candidate, while PDSU-MSF-NSUI-Fraternity alliance fielded K Naveen Kumar.

Naresh Podishetti of ABVP-SLVD contested for the presidential post, whereas, Muhammad Aflah KK, Venisa Choudhary and Pratik Sagar fought for general secretary posts on the three alliance panels.
