HPCET 2025 registration deadline extended till April 23

NEW DELHI : Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) has extended the registration deadline for the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET 2025) exam till April 23. Eligible candidates can apply for HPCET 2025 from the official website, himtu.ac.in.
Candidates who have qualified for Class 12 from a recognized board with physics or maths as mandatory subjects can apply. Candidates from the general category must obtain a minimum of 45% marks, and atleast 40% marks for reserved candidates are eligible to apply for the HPCET 2025 exam .
Earlier, the last date for HPCET 2025 application form filling was April 18. The HPCET 2025 exam will be conducted on May 10. The application fee for SC, ST, BLP category candidates is Rs 800, whereas other category candidates will have to pay Rs 1,600.
HPCET 2025 exam is held for admission to various undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) affiliated colleges and institutions. Candidates who qualify for the exam will be eligible to get admission to participating colleges based on HPCET scores.
HPCET 2025 exam pattern
HPCET will be held in offline mode for a duration of three hours and 15 minutes. The paper will comprise 600 marks in total, having 150 questions in total. The syllabus includes physics, chemistry, and maths. Each section will be divided into 60 questions. Candidates will be given four marks for every correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. However, if more than one option is found to be correct, the four marks will be given who have marked the correct response. In case all options are found to be correct or if the question is found wrong or dropped, then candidates will be given four marks.
