HSSC Group D 2018 exam dates announced; admit card to be available from Oct 29

New Delhi, October 15: Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has announced the exam dates of HSSC Group D recruitment examinations 2018. As per an official notification, HSSC Group D exams will be conducted on November 10,11,17 and 18 in two shifts – Morning and Evening. HSSC Group D admit card for the exam scheduled to be conducted on November 10 and 11 will be released on October 29, while the admit card for November 17 and 18 exam will be issued on November 7.
HSSC Group D admit card will be available online on its official website http://www.hssc.gov.in/. To download the admit card, candidates have to enter their registration number and date of birth in the login window. After downloading the admit card, candidates need to paste a recent passport size photograph on the same. Apart from this, candidates also have to get the admit card attested from a Gazetted Officer. On the day of the exam, candidates need to carry the printed copy of the admit card along with one of the specified photo-identity proof.
Candidates will have to reach the examination centre at 9 am (for morning session) and 1.30 pm (for evening session) for the verification process like checking of admit card, frisking, biometric verification, etc. Candidates reaching late than this specified time will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
According to HSSC Group D exam pattern, the written exam will carry 90 objective type questions divided into two parts. Part I will comprise questions from General Awareness, Reasoning, Maths, Science, English, Hindi or concerned or relevant subject as applicable. 75% weightage will be given to this part. Part II will carry questions from History, Current Affairs, Literature, Geography, Civics, Environment, Culture of Haryana. This part will be given 25% weightage. Maximum marks allotted to the written exam are 100. The test will be held for 90 minutes. Each question will carry 1 mark.
Besides the marking scheme for the written examination, the Socio-Economic Criteria and Experience will also carry 10 marks. It must be noted that there will be no Interview for the recruitment exam.
HSSC Group D exam is conducted for the recruitment of eligible candidates at 116 different posts. As many as 18,218 vacancies have been announced. Candidates will be selected for various posts based on their performance in the written exam and experience.
