NEW DELHI: The Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) is expected to release the IBPS Clerk 2021 notification and application form soon. The IBPS Clerk application form 2021 will be released on the official website - ibps.in . IBPS also recently released the IBPS RRB application form .
The IBPS Clerk application is conducted to recruit candidates for clerical posts in the partnering banks of the IBPS. Graduates between the age limit of 20 years to 28 years will be eligible to apply for the IBPS Clerk exam.
IBPS Clerk selection process
There are two stages in the IBPS Clerk selection process - preliminary and mains. Both these stages are conducted in computer-based online mode. The IBPS Clerk questions are in multiple choice format. The question paper of IBPS Clerk preliminary exam will be based on English language, numerical ability, reasoning ability, while the question papers of the mains stage will be based on general/ financial awareness, general English, reasoning ability and computer aptitude and quantitative aptitude.
The time duration for the preliminary stage of the IBPS Clerk exam is 60 minutes while that of the main stage is 160 minutes. There is negative marking in both the stages of the IBPS Clerk exam.
IBPS Clerk Salary and Job Responsibilities
The salary of IBPS Clerk is Rs 11,765- Rs 42,020 per month. The basic salary includes dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), medical allowance and transport allowance (TA). The job of a clerk comprises various activities like verification of documents and proofs submitted by the customers.
Clerks are responsible for managing bank cash, locker keys, etc. They also have to maintain various documents of the bank, balance sheets, ledger, etc and also resolve issues related to the customers. Clerks can also be promoted to the post of Probationary Officer with time and performance.
