ICAI CA May 2021: Filling of fresh forms mandatory for all candidates

NEW DELHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that all students appearing in the CA May 2021 exam cycle are required to fill fresh exam forms. As per the official notice, filling the online examination form is mandatory for students who opted out from CA November 2020 exam session and chose to appear in the May 2021 exam cycle.

The official ICAI notice reads, "Candidates of CA foundation, intermediate (IPC) (old scheme), intermediate (new scheme) and final (old and new scheme) examinations and post-qualification course examinations i.e. Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination and International Taxation - Assessment Test (INTT - AT), who had opted out of November 2020 examination cycle and had chosen May 2021 examination cycle are required to fill their examination application form for May 2021 examination cycle afresh."

ICAI will adjust the CA examination fees for such candidates and only differential fees based on their group, country change etc will be applicable.

ICAI CA May 2021: Exam Dates

ICAI has released the exam dates for CA May 2021 exam cycle . CA intermediate exams for both the old and new scheme will be conducted between May 22 and June 4, 2021. CA final exams for both the old and new scheme will be conducted between May 21 and June 5, 2021. The May 2021 cycle of CA foundation exams will commence from June 24 and the last exam will be conducted on June 30, 2021

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ICAI had allowed candidates to opt-out of CA November 2020 exams for foundation, intermediate and final programmes. These candidates could apply for the ICAI CA May 2021 exam cycle. To know more details, candidates can visit the official ICAI website- icai.org.
