NEW DELHI, JUNE 27- The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hss announced some modifications in CA Final syllabus which will be in force from November 2019 session and onwards. The notification was released on June 24 (specifically modifying the new course) followed by another notification on June 26 (exclusions for both old and new courses).

Highlights of Modifications CA Final syllabus
Only New course
Exclusions(applicable from November 2019 onwards)
Paper 1: 7 topics excluded including Application of Accounting Standards and Value Added Statement
Paper 2: Three topics excluded
Paper 3: Special Audit Assignment,some Engagement and Quality Control Standards excluded, and a few Guidance Notes and other publications excluded
Paper 4: Specific provisions of legislations excluded
Paper 6A: Topic of Quantitative Analysis excluded
Paper 6B: Banking Management is excluded
Paper 6D: Topic of World Trade Organization (WTO) excluded
Paper 8: Few topics from the syllabus of Part II of Customs & FTP excluded
Inclusions (applicable from May 2020 onwards)
Paper 4: Three topics added to The Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999
Paper 6A: Topic of Evaluation of Risk Management Strategies added
Paper 6B: Topic of Leasing and Factoring added.
Both Old and New Course
Exclusions are made only for syllabi of Part II: Customs & FTP of Paper 8: Indirect Tax Laws. the ICAI notification reflects the topic excluded and the corresponding chapters,etc in the study material in order to avoid any confusion.
