IGNOU Admissions July 2026: Registration begins for UG, PG admissions via ODL, online mode

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened the registration for admission to its various Online and Distance Learning (ODL), and Online mode courses for the July 2026 session. Eligible candidates can apply for the UG, PG, diploma and certificate programmes through the IGNOU’s official website at ignou.ac.in.

The university will close the registration window for ODL and Online mode programmes for the July 2026 session on July 15.

Students seeking admission to colleges affiliated with IGNOU must keep their APAAR ID ready before registering for the programmes.

IGNOU July 2026 Admissions: Courses, scholarships

“Fresh Admission for the July, 2026 session for the ODL and Online modes commenced from 25th May, 2026 on the Samarth Portal. The last date of Fresh Admissions for the July, 2026 Session is 15th July, 2026,” according to IGNOU’s official X account.

Eligible students can apply for Government of India Scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in after confirmation of admission, the notice read.

Those who are looking forward to apply for various programmes at IGNOU, can check the list of courses offered by the university through its official portal.

The university offers various courses such as BA, BCom, BSc, BBA, BCA, MA, MBA, MCom, MCA, and MSc through online and open distance learning (ODL) modes.
