IGNOU to close BEd registration on February 27; how to apply

IGNOU Admission 2026: Candidates should have to pay Rs 1,000 as registration fee for admission to BEd programme.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is currently accepting applications for the Bachelor of Education (BEd) programme. Eligible candidates can apply for the BEd course through the official website at ignou-bed.samarth.edu.in until February 27.
Those who possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, social science, commerce, or humanities with at least 50% or 55% marks in engineering or technology with specialisation in science and mathematics, or an equivalent qualification, are eligible to apply for the BEd programme.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) - Non Creamy Layer (NCL), and Persons with Disability (PwD) should have a minimum of 45% to be eligible.

Notably, there is no age limit to apply for the IGNOU BEd admission 2026. The IGNOU 2026 registration fee for the BEd programme is Rs 1,000 for all category candidates.
The application fee for admission to the BEd programme can be paid using a credit or debit card or through online banking.
The open university will conduct the entrance test in an offline mode and the question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The exam will be held for a duration of two hours.
Candidates will be given admission on the basis of the exam scores, and a merit list will be prepared region-wise.

Here are the steps given below to apply for the BEd programme through IGNOU admissions.
- Visit the official website at ignou-bed.samarth.edu.in.
- On the homepage, look for the link - IGNOU BEd application form 2026 and click on it.
- Enter email ID and mobile number.
- Also type personal and educational details.
- Upload scanned photos and documents in the given format and size.
- Submit requisite IGNOU BEd application fee.
- Press the submit button, download the application form and save it for future use.
