IGNOU January 2024 re-registration extended to March 10; late fees, refund policy
IGNOU Admission 2024: Candidates can now fill out the application form with a late fee of Rs 200.

NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the re-registration dates for the January 2024 session till March 10. Eligible candidates who want to get admission to IGNOU’s programmes can fill out the application form by visiting the official website at ignou.ac.in.
The institute informed via social media that the admission dates have been extended for all programmes offered in the online and open and distance learning (ODL) mode. Candidates can now apply for these programmes with a late fee of Rs 200.
The registration process for IGNOU's January 2024 session commenced on December 5, 2023, in online mode. Initially, the deadline for completing the admission form was January 31, which was later extended to February 15 and further extended until February 29.
Candidates interested in the ODL programmes can complete their registration at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, while those seeking admission to an online mode program should register at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.
Students who have previously registered for any programme on the IGNOU portal can log in using their username and password. If they encounter any difficulties, such as not receiving the one-time password (OTP) or forgetting their username and password, they can contact their regional centre for assistance. The centre will help in resetting the account and updating the email ID or mobile number.

Refund policy on cancellation
If any candidates want to cancel the admission and request a refund, the refund process will be in accordance with the university policy outlined below:

Before confirmation of admission: The full programme fee paid will be refunded.
After confirmation of admission:

Within 15 days of confirmation of admission: The programme fee paid will be refunded after a deduction of Rs 500.

Within 16-90 days of confirmation of admission: The programme fee paid will be refunded after a deduction of Rs 1000.

After 90 days of confirmation of admission: No refund will be allowed.
