IGNOU extends July admission 2026 application submission deadline till September 15

Candidates can apply for the IGNOU July 2026 admission cycle for ODL courses on ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, while for online courses, submit application on ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the IGNOU July 2026 admission application submission deadline to September 15. However, the opportunity is open to all programmes except for certificate courses.

Candidates can apply for the IGNOU July 2026 admission cycle for ODL courses on ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, while applications for online mode courses can be submitted on ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

Candidates are advised to keep their APAAR ID ready before filling out the IGNOU admission form 2026. Also, provide a working email and mobile number at the time of registration, as the email and mobile number will be verified through OTP at the time of registration.

How to apply for IGNOU July admission 2026?

The steps to apply for IGNOU July admission 2026 are shown below.

  • Visit official website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in
  • Click on “Click Here for New Registration" link.
  • Fill in registration form and click on ‘register’ tab.
  • User ID and password will be sent to registered email address and mobile number.
  • Choose the course and the study material mode.
  • Upload the documents in the prescribed format and size.
  • Pay the application fee and click on"Submit" button.
  • Take out printouts of the filled IGNOU application form for future reference.

Candidates must note that an amount equivalent to 15% of the course fee, subject to a ceiling of Rs 2,000, will be deducted from the fee paid in case a candidate's request for cancellation is received after admission confirmation. However, in case a student has opted for a soft copy of the study material, the fees will be refunded only after deducting the registration fee.
