According to the UGC notice, the online application window will open today, September 1 and will end on September 15. HEIs can apply for recognition to offer programmes under open, ODL and online courses on deb.ugc.ac.in.

However, the mere submission of an application should not be considered a grant of approval, and all applications will be scrutinized according to the standards stipulated in the UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020, and its amendments.
Fresh applications can be submitted by HEIs for recognition to offer programmes under Open and ODL and/or online mode for the academic year 2026–27, for the academic session beginning January–February 2027 and onwards.
