IGNOU registration process underway for January 2024 session; apply by February 29

NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) registration process is currently underway for admission to various degrees, diplomas, certificate programmes in online, open and distance learning (ODL) mode. Eligible candidates can fill out the admission for the IGNOU January 2024 session by visiting the official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Earlier, the last date to fill out the application form for IGNOU January 2024 admission was open till January 31, 2024, which was later extended to February 15. Now the last date for re-registration for all programmes offered in ODL, online mode for the January 2024 session is February 29.

The IGNOU registration portal is open for both Indian and international students. Candidates who want to apply for ODL programmes can register at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in and candidates who wish to get admission to an online mode programme should register at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

The institute said that candidates can get a full programme fee refund before confirmation of admission. After 15 days of the confirmation of admission, the programme fee will be refunded with a deduction of Rs 500.

To apply for IGNOU January 2024 online, ODL programmes, candidates will have to upload the documents given below.

• Photograph with a file size of less than 100 KB.

• Signature with a file size less than 100 KB)

• Relevant educational qualification with a file size of less than 200 KB

• Experience certificate with a file size of less than 200 KB

• Scanned Copy of category certificate, if Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). File size should be less than 200 KB.

IGNOU January 2024 Session: How to apply

Candidates can follow the steps given below to fill out the IGNOU 2024 admission form.

• Visit the IGNOU official website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

• On the homepage, click on the ‘new registration’ tab.

• If any candidate has already registered on the portal, should use their username and password to log in.

• After logging, choose courses and fill out the admission form.

• Submit the required documents and make online payment.

• Submit the form and download the page for future reference.
