NEW DELHI: International Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) Delhi has announced that it will launch AICTE-approved online postgraduate (PG) certificate programmes for specialised education in the healthcare sector. The online programmes have been designed in alignment with the National Education Policy’s (NEP 2020) mandate to enhance the quality and reach of higher education.

IIHMR Delhi has introduced three PG certificate programmes namely - PG certificate in hospital management, PG certificate in logistics and supply chain management, and PG certificate in public health financial management.

“These online programmes are specifically designed to provide flexibility and accessibility for working executives, enabling them to advance their careers without disrupting their professional commitments,” the institute said.

“By leveraging technology, these programs offer a dynamic learning environment that combines academic rigor with practical relevance. This approach aligns with the National Education Policy’s 2020 vision of making quality higher education accessible, inclusive, and geared towards developing thoughtful, well-rounded, and creative individuals,” it said.

“The NEP also emphasizes the importance of open distance learning (ODL) and online programs, recognizing their potential to improve access and provide opportunities for lifelong learning. The AICTE approval ensures that these programs meet the highest standards of academic excellence and are equivalent to the quality of on-campus programs,” the institute added.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) had earlier asked students to confirm the recognition status of higher educational institutions (HEI) before enrolling in online distance learning and online programmes. It also notified the list of universities prohibited from offering online programmes.
