IIIT Bangalore to host 29th international conference ADCOM 2024 from December 18 to 20
Speakers from companies such as Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA are expected to attend the IIIT Bangalore international conference on advanced computing and communications.

NEW DELHI: The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT Bangalore) is set to host the 29th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communications 2024 (ADCOM 2024) from December 18 to 20 on campus. ADCOM 2024 will deliberate on the theme and share insights on “democratization of access to AI with responsibility”.
This year, the international conference seeks to share insights for a ‘Responsible AI’ framework to develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) safely and ethically based on the five core principles namely fairness, transparency, accountability, privacy and safety, the institute said.
“This edition of ADCOM will also explore as a sub theme the democratization of access to AI with a need for Trust, Risk and Security Management (TRiSM) to enhance positive performance and societal gains that AI enables,” it added.
ADCOM 2024: Programme details
ADCOM is the flagship systems conference of the Advanced Computing and Communications Society (ACCS), a registered scientific society established to promote advanced computing and communications technologies through collaboration among individuals, institutions, and industry, the institute said.
The international conference, ADCOM 2024, will see participation of speakers around the globe from companies such as Microsoft, Google, NVIDIA, IBM Research, and so on. The conference will start from December 18 and will end on December 20.
Speaking about the upcoming conference, Jailendra Kumar, president of ACCS, said: "AI technology has spawned many applications. The need of the hour is to have a framework for Trust, Risk and Security Management (TRiSM). ADCOM 2024 will deliberate on this theme and share insights on democratization of access to AI with responsibility."

Chandrashekhar Ramanathan, dean (academics), IIIT Bangalore and general chair of ADCOM 2024 stated: "We are honored to host the 29th edition of ADCOM at IIIT-Bangalore.
