IIM Bangalore Placement 2021: 435 students bag 481 offers

The virtual final placement drive at IIM Banglore saw the participation of other sectors like information technology and IT product management, finance, conglomerates and start-ups and sales and marketing.
NEW DELHI: A batch of 435 students of postgraduate programme 2019-21 were successfully placed in the final placement drive of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore.
The students were offered 481 jobs with consulting and the product management domain offered 165 jobs.
The virtual final placement drive at IIM Banglore saw the participation of other sectors like information technology and IT product management, finance, conglomerates and start-ups and sales and marketing.
A total of 78 offers were made in the IT sector which included companies like Microsoft, Browserstack, Ola, Byju’s, Oracle, and Razorpay amongst others.
IIMB placement offers
Other companies in the IT product management domain made 21 offers. A total of 55 offers were made in the e-commerce sector where Amazon, with 34 offers, emerged as the top recruiter.
In the finance sector, Goldman Sachs made the highest number of job offers by hiring 22 IIM-B students. A total of 76 job offers were made in this sector. Leadership tracks and general management positions saw 47 offers made by conglomerates, startups, and other firms, with the RPG Group leading with 10 offers.
In the sales and marketing sector, students bagged 50 job offers and were recruited by major consumer goods firms led by Dr Reddy’s Laboratories.
Prominent recruiters in the consulting sector included Accenture which made 45 offers, followed by Bain and Company with 24 offers. Top recruiters included McKinsey and Company, the Boston Consulting Group, Kearney, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Tata Consultancy Services among others.
Tapas Ranjan Pati, manager, career development services, IIM Bangalore, said: “Companies from overseas locations like Amsterdam, Dubai and Singapore made offers across Consulting, Finance, International Trading, and Business Strategy.”
