IIM Bodh Gaya’s AACSB accreditation makes it the sixth among India's 22 IIMs to join the cohort of world’s top business schools

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya has received international accreditation from AACSB International (AACSB), becoming the sixth among India's 22 IIMs to join the top 6% of business schools globally. The institution currently has more than 1,700 students enrolled across its fully residential programmes.
IIM Bodh Gaya courses include the flagship Master of Business Administration (MBA), MBA in Digital Business and AI (DB & AI), MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management (HHM), five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), PhD in Management, and an Executive MBA programme. As part of its curriculum, the institute promotes mindfulness to help students become responsible and ethical business leaders.
Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the world's largest and most recognised alliance for business education, and its accreditation is considered the gold standard in the field. The accreditation journey at IIM Bodh Gaya started with a key visit by AACSB South Asia Head Prathap Das in August 2025 to assess the campus's infrastructure and quality systems, and ended in a final Peer Review Team visit in March 2026.
Dr Vinita S Sahay, director of IIM Bodh Gaya, said, "Earning AACSB accreditation is a historic testament to our institutional maturity and relentless pursuit of excellence. This success belongs to our robust internal processes, the strategic vision of our Board of Governors, the unwavering dedication of our faculty and non-faculty team members, and the mindful leadership of our students. Together, we have built an ecosystem benchmarked against the finest global standards".
With AACSB accreditation, IIM Bodh Gaya is expected to strengthen its global presence by expanding international research collaborations, dual-degree programmes, and student exchange partnerships with institutions across five continents.
