IIM Bodh Gaya hosts two-day orientation programme for new batch of IPM students

IIM Bodh Gaya’s orientation event for the five-year IPM course included 148 students, of which 14 were from the US, Canada, Australia, and Nepal.
NEW DELHI : Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya held a two-day orientation programme for the fourth batch of Integrated Programme Management (IPM) students on August 24. The two-day orientation programme for the five-year integrated course included 148 students, of which 14 were international students from the US, Canada, Australia, and Nepal.
Vittal Rangan S, professor and the chairperson of the IPM programme, introduced the course which was followed by the welcoming of students and parents by IIM Bodh Gaya director Vinita Sahay.

Chief guest D Shivakumar, operating partner at Advent Private Equity, addressed the students on the first day of the orientation programme.
According to the official statement, Day one concluded with a cultural evening with performances by students from old and new batches of IPM.
“The second day of the programme was led by industry experts – Manoj Kumar, general manager at LPG, HPCL; Niglanshu Nandi, director of sales and marketing at OLA; Karthik Venkat, country lead at India Tech Partnerships (Ads) at Google – who advised students that instead of chasing opportunities, they should let their curiosity attract opportunities,” the official statement stated.

Pratik Yadav, an expert partner at BCG Zurich, also connected with students virtually from Switzerland. The students gained insights about IIM Bodh Gaya’s 14 student-driven committees that are responsible for the institute’s functioning on various fronts,” the statement said.
IIM Bodh Gaya is one of the other IIMs in India to offer the IPM programme. The other IIMs in India offering IPM programmes are IIM Rohtak, IIM Jammu, IIM Indore, and IIM Ranchi.
