IIM Calcutta witness 100% placement with an average salary of Rs 34.2 lakh
IIM Calcutta Placements: Most numbers of the offers came from the consulting sector

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta’s 57th batch saw 100 percent placement during the final placement process with an average salary of Rs 34.2 lakh and a median salary of Rs 31 lakh. About 465 IIM Calcutta students received 631 offers. More than 190 firms offered job opportunities during the final placement process.
Most numbers of the offers came from the consulting sector with 49 percent of the job opportunities being made from this domain. Companies such as Accenture Strategy, Bain and Company, Boston Consulting Group, EY Parthenon, and McKinsey and Company recruited the most students. Sectors such as marquee asset management, investment banking, and private equity-venture capital firms together made 18 percent of the total number of offers. 14 percent of the offers were made from the general management and marketing domain, and 19 percent offers came from the product management and operations domains with top recruiters such as Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Paytm, amongst others.

Many new recruiters such as IIFL, Nykaa, Premji Invest, Rothschild, Zomato offered job opportunities to IIM Calcutta students. The placement drive also saw international offers being made from companies such as Emaar, Protiviti among others.
