IIM CAT 2025 Tomorrow: Slot timings, reporting rules; exam-day dos and don’ts

The CAT exam timings are – slot 1 from 8.30 am to 10:30 am, slot 2 from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm, and slot 3 from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Candidates can download their CAT 2025 admit card from iimcat.ac.in and must carry it along with their original identity proof to the exam centre.
The CAT 2025 exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode in 170 cities and 375 test centres across India.
CAT exam day do’s and don'ts; guidelines
To avoid being barred from writing the MBA exam, candidates are advised to carefully follow the dress code and CAT exam guidelines given below.
Do’s on CAT 2025 exam day
- To avoid last-minute stress, reach the exam centre at least one hour before the exam. Refer to the admit card for details on the exam time and venue.
- Bring your CAT 2025 admit card and a valid photo ID proof like Aadhar card, PAN card, driving license, etc. Make sure that both the details match.
- To avoid unnecessary scrutiny, wear simple, comfortable clothing without any metal objects and follow the dress code.
- Manage your time wisely during the exam and focus on accuracy rather than answering all the questions. Use the on-screen timer to keep track.
Don’ts on CAT 2025 exam day
- Do not carry forbidden items such as electronic devices, study materials, papers, or even watches. Candidates found carrying barred items may face disqualification.
- Cheating in the exam using gadgets, communication, or copying will lead to disqualification and may be barred from appealing in the subsequent CAT exams .
- Leaving the exam hall before the scheduled time is not allowed. Candidates should remain seated until the invigilator declares the exam over and allows them to leave.
- Avoid tampering with the settings of the computer or using the keyboard unnecessarily, since such actions may trigger warnings or system locks.
- After attempting the question paper, make sure all rough papers are submitted to the invigilators. Failing to do so will be considered a breach of ethics.
