NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore invites applications for the joint master of science in data science and management degree programme. Eligible candidates should fill out the application form through the official website, iimidr.ac.in. The last date to apply for this programme is June 10.
As per the institute, up to 200 candidates will be considered for admission to this degree programme. Candidates are required to participate in the Data Science and Management Aptitude Test (DMAT), which will be conducted in both online and in physical mode on June 23, 2024. The academic session is scheduled to commence on August 10, 2024.
The programme will cover general concepts on algorithms, data structures, big data infrastructure, big data analytics life cycle, data security and management, and contemporary management thoughts including behaviour elements.
As per the institute, the programme is structured around four pillars including data, technology, people, and enterprise strategy. These pillars are designed to foster essential skills for data scientists, including leadership, communication, business acumen, project management, understanding of the big data analytics lifecycle, proficiency in big data technologies and solutions, data management capabilities, and systems thinking.

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria given below before applying for the Master of Science in Data Science and Management degree programme.
Candidates should have completed their bachelor's degree with a minimum score of 60% or 6.0 CPI/6.0 CGPA (on a scale of 10) in Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), Bachelor of Architecture (BArch), Bachelor of Design (BDes), or Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech) degree, Bachelor of Science (BSc), Master of Science (MSc), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), or Master of Business Administration (MBA). Or
Candidates should have at least two courses in mathematics and one in computer programming at the qualifying degree level. Additionally, candidates should have a valid test score obtained anytime in the last three years from the Common Admission Test (CAT), Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), or Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM). Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The final selection will be based on the performance in the interview.
