IIM Lucknow students get highest stipend of Rs 3.4 lakh pm in summer placement: Report

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow has concluded summer internship placements and the highest stipend secured by students stands at Rs 3.4 lakh per month, as per a Business Standard report.
The highest stipend saw a rise of 36% from last year’s 2.5 lakh per month, the report said.

The institute received 567 offers in total for the batch of 562 students in summer internship placements this year, as per the report.
IIM Lucknow also completed summer internship placements for PGP and PGP-ABM students in which the highest stipend grew by 18% from 1.1 lakh to 1.3 lakh per month.
More than 140 recruiters participated in the drive, across sectors like consulting, finance, general management, IT or Analytics, marketing and operations, the report said.
Recruiters participating at IIM Lucknow's summer placements this year included organisations such as Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, Adobe, Alvarez & Marsal, Amazon, Avendus Capital, Axis Bank, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Citi, Coca Cola, Colgate-Palmolive, Deloitte, Disney – Star, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Google, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, JP Morgan Chase, McKinsey & Company, Microsoft, Mondelez, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, PwC and Tata Administrative Services, etc.
First-time recruiters such as AirAsia, AllianceBernstein, Arthur D Little, Atlassian, Barclays, BD, CDC Group and Kimberly Clark etc. also took part.
According to IIM Lucknow, with offers from leading companies in the domains of Investment Banking and Private Equity like ARGA Investment Management, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, Societe Generale, and Standard Chartered, among others, the institute also witnessed the largest line-up of Finance Recruiters, the report said.

Almost 41 per cent of the batch was placed this year with a stipend of more than or equal to Rs 1.5 lakh per month while around 92 per cent of the batch was placed with a stipend of more than or equal to Rs 1 lakh per month, the institute said, according to the report.
