IIM Mumbai, DoPT launch PG Diploma in Public Policy Management; admission closes on December 20

Admissions to the PG Diploma course will be based on the IIM Mumbai Admission Test (IMAT) or a valid CAT, GMAT, or GRE scores from the last five years, followed by a personal interview.

Use NowThe Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has launched a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Policy Management (PGDPPM). The programme is being introduced in collaboration with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, and in partnership with Talentsprint, an Accenture-backed advanced education platform powered by AI.

This one-year diploma combines IIM Mumbai's academic expertise with modern digital learning to provide a future-ready programme for mid-career professionals.
The PGDPPM programme focuses on contemporary policy themes, including sustainability, technology, strategy, and leadership, providing a future-ready learning experience facilitated by IIM Mumbai's world-class faculty.
The programme will admit both DoPT-sponsored government officers and external candidates.
The institute said this structure will enrich the learning environment by fostering a multidisciplinary cohort and strengthening peer-to-peer interaction.
Speaking about the launch, IIM Mumbai director Manoj Tiwari said the programme aims to prepare professionals to face modern policy challenges with confidence.
“Through simulations, projects, and peer-to-peer learning, participants develop skills in leadership, crisis management, and innovation – preparing them for senior positions across government, business, and the social sector,” he added.
IIM Mumbai’s PGDPPM Course: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent CGPA with at least 50% marks and at least five years of work experience.
Admissions will be based on the IIM Mumbai Admission Test (IMAT) or valid CAT , GMAT, or GRE scores from the last five years, followed by a personal interview.

Candidates can apply for IIM Mumbai’s PGDPPM programme online at pgp.iimmumbai.ac.in by December 20. The programmes begin from February 2026.
