IIM Raipur, IOCL collaborate to organise leadership development programme for early career officers

IIM Raipur-IOCL Collaboration: The Programme aims to enhance leadership skills of professionals involved in marketing, sales, and execution.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) recently held an Leadership Development Programme (LDP) in partnership with the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for their early career officers. The initial phase of this 14-day comprehensive training program took place at the IIM Raipur campus in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The leadership development programme was inaugurated by Pradumna Dash, dean of academics at IIM Raipur , in the presence of V Srinivasa Prasad, DGM I/c LandD at IOCL, Pratik Talukdar, CM (LandD), Brajesh Jha, Manager (LandD) HO, and the Programme directors- Sumeet Gupta, Pradumna Dash, Damini Saini, and Ram Kumar Kakani, director of IIM Raipur.
Improve leadership skills
According to the official press release, the programme is designed to enhance the leadership skills of officials in marketing, sales, and execution. It aims to deepen their understanding of executive responsibilities and boost their leadership capabilities, particularly for young professionals within the Marketing Division. Additionally, the programme emphasizes improving decision-making abilities in uncertain situations, fostering innovative thinking, and enhancing task management skills.
Yoga session and sports activities
According to the IIM Raipur official press release, throughout the two-week programme, participants were actively involved in a rigorous schedule that included intensive training, yoga sessions, and sports activities. This immersive experience aimed to develop their leadership skills holistically. As per the university statement, the programme concluded on July 13, 2024, marking the completion of the leadership development initiative, which not only focused on professional growth but also on physical and mental well-being.
V Srinivasa Prasad,emphasized the company's strong commitment to the Leadership Development Program. He remarked, “We strongly believe that investing in the growth of our early career officers is not only advantageous but crucial for the ongoing success and expansion of our organization.” Other IOCL officials also visited IIM Raipur, including Jagdeep Kumar Rana, ED (RS), Awadhesh Kumar Mishra, GM (HR), and Goutam Dutta, CGM (HR), who engaged with the participants during the programme.
