IIM Sirmaur signs agreement with ACCA to enhance finance education through faculty training, student engagement, and global career-focused initiatives
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur has signed an agreement with Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) to expand learning opportunities in accounting and finance, with a focus on bringing global exposure to students.
The agreement was formalised by ACCA's head of educational partner relationships-India Prabhanshu Mittal and IIM Sirmaur director Prafulla Agnihotri. The partnership is aimed at aligning academic learning with international professional standards and industry needs.
Through this collaboration, students at IIM Sirmaur are expected to benefit from access to globally recognised frameworks and skill-building initiatives that better prepare them for careers in the finance sector.
IIM Sirmaur ACCA partnership focuses on global exposure
The tie-up is designed to strengthen teaching and learning in accounting and finance through a mix of academic and industry-led initiatives. One of the key components includes train-the-trainer workshops, which will help faculty stay updated with global practices and improve classroom delivery.

In addition, the two institutions plan to organise joint seminars, conferences, and knowledge-sharing sessions. These platforms are expected to encourage discussions around emerging trends and best practices in the global finance ecosystem.

The agreement also places strong emphasis on student development and career readiness. Interactive sessions will be conducted to guide students on global career pathways, professional skills, and expectations from the finance industry.
