IIT Guwahati North-East Research Conclave 2022 to showcase research, development projects

Dharmendra Pradhan, union education minister will do the inauguration of the IIT Guwahati North-East Research Conclave 2022.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will conduct the North-East Research Conclave 2022 to present different research and development projects from various educational and research institutions across North-East Indian states. Dharmendra Pradhan, union education minister will do the event's inauguration.
The IIT Guwahati North-East Research Conclave 2022 will be held on May 20, 2022, from 10:30 am onwards. The event will be live-streamed on the IIT Guwahati YouTube channel.
According to a statement from IIT Guwahati, the North-East Research Conclave 2022 aims to create a standard interface for the interaction of academia and industry in North-East India, and for the development of local indigenous technologies and innovations.

The conclave also seeks to promote entrepreneurship and make use of the talent pool in North-East India for the promotion of translational research. One of its objectives is also to help the country succeed in various Sustainable Development Goals.
Himanta Biswa Sarma, chief minister of Assam and Kishan Reddy, minister of development of North East region will be present during the event.
