Download NowNEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Madras will commence the registrations for Joint Admission test for Masters on September 5, 2023. Interested candidates can apply for IIT JAM 2024 through the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in. The IIT JAM 2024 registration window will remain open till October 13, 2023.

The IIT JAM examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 11, 2024. Interested candidates who have done graduation or currently studying in the final year of undergraduate programme are eligible to apply for JAM 2024 examination.

IIT JAM 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university to apply for JAM 2024.

Candidates appearing for their graduation exams in 2024 are also eligible to apply, provided they submit the proof by September 2024.

No minimum percentage criteria to apply.
Earlier till 2021, the eligibility criteria for IIT JAM stated that candidates must have score a minimum 55 per cent aggregate or 5.5 CGPA/CPI out of 10 for Genera category and 50 per cent aggregate or 5.0 CGPA/CPI for the reserved category candidates. However, from 2022 onwards, this criterion was relaxed. Now, candidates will have to get a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, and no eligibility cutoff is there.
- Apart from this, candidates will submit a physical fitness certificate during admissions. Candidates found unfit to pursue his/her Science course can be denied admission by the institute.
