IIT Jammu to open MTech applications from March 28; admission via GATE 2026

IIT Jammu Admission 2026: Candidates can access the MTech application form through the official website at iitjammu.ac.in
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Jammu) will open applications for its Master of Technology (MTech) programmes for the 2026–27 academic session from March 28, 2026. Eligible candidates can apply for the IIT Jammu MTech admission 2026 online through the official portal, iitjammu.ac.in.
The IIT Jammu MTech application form 2026 will be available only online. As per the admission schedule, the last date to submit the IIT Jammu MTech admission form 2026 is April 15.
To complete the registration, candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay Rs. 300, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates are required to pay Rs. 200.
IIT Jammu offers MTech programmes in multiple disciplines, including computer science and engineering (CSE), electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and other related specialisations.

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree, at least 60% marks (55% for SC, ST, PwD), and a valid GATE score are eligible for MTech admission at IIT Jammu. For civil engineering, candidates must have at least 65% marks (60% for reserved categories).
IIT Delhi MTech Admission 2026: Selection process
Candidates applying for IIT Jammu MTech admission must register on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). The COAP registration number is required to fill the IIT Jammu application form 2026.
Candidates can select a maximum of two specialisations in a single IIT Jammu MTech application form.
For MTech admission at IIT Jammu , the final selection may include a written test or interview, or both. The institute may also consider Class 10 and Class 12 marks, depending on the programme. However, at least 70% weight will be given to the GATE score.
“Students who submit a provisional certificate must provide the final degree certificate within 15 days of classes starting. No scholarship will be given until all required documents are submitted in person,” the IITJ statement said.
