IIT Kanpur Placements 2021: 47 international offers on Day 8

IIT Kanpur placements 2021 entered 8th day today with 47 international offers.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur placements 2021 have entered the eighth day with a total of 1,062 offers so far, out of which 885 offers were accepted. This is in addition to the 156 pre-placement offers (PPOs) that were already accepted, out of 207 offered.

On Day 8, the institute received 47 international offers and saw a jump of 150% over last year when a total of 19 international offers were received. The highest packages so far received by the students are 2,74,250 US Dollars for international and Rs 1.2 Crore for domestic. In total, 49 offers above Rs 1 Cr have been received so far.
Top recruiters like Axtria, EXL, Graviton, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Bank, Intel, Microsoft, OLA, Rubrik, Samsung, Quadeye, Uber, Tiger Analytics, among others, participated in the placement drive.

Spokesperson of IIT Kanpur said: “IIT Kanpur has witnessed excellent hiring trends across sectors this time. The numbers are very encouraging and much higher than the previous years. This growing trust the recruiters are bestowing upon the institute and its students is reflective of IIT Kanpur’s resolution to thrive for excellence.”
So far, a total of 1,041 students have secured jobs through acceptance of 156 PPO's and 885 placement Phase-1 offers. Up until Day 8, 287 companies have finished their recruitment process.

IIT Kanpur virtual placement season which began on December 1, received a total of 940 offers at the end of day 4, out of which, 773 were accepted. This is in addition to the 156 pre-placement offers (PPOs) that are already accepted by the students.
At the end of day 4, IIT Kanpur received 47 international offers. “This is a big jump of 150% over last year when a total of 19 international offers were received. The highest packages so far are 274,250 US Dollars for international and Rs 1.2 crore for domestic. In total, 49 offers above Rs 1 crore have been received so far,” the institute said in a press release.
