IIT Kanpur releases JAM scorecard 2020
Candidates can download JAM previous year's papers to boost their exam preparation.

NEW DELHI: IIT Kanpur has released the scorecard of Joint Admission Test for M.Sc Programmes (JAM) 2020 for the candidates who had taken the national level entrance test on February 9. The examination body has released the scorecard via JOAPS portal - joaps.iitk.ac.in. In order to check and download the JAM scorecard 2020, candidates have to log into their JOAPS account and enter their enrollment/email ID along with the password.

The scorecard reflects the qualifying status of the candidates and their scores/marks acquired in the examination, along with their All India Ranks (AIR). Candidates are advised that the scorecard be downloaded and kept safe with them, as it can be asked for or needed at any later stage of the admission process.
Earlier, JAM results were declared on March 16 , four days prior to the scheduled date of March 20, the same day its final answer key was released. Along with the result announcement, JAM cut off was also released. The result was released in the form of merit list, containing the merit ranks of the qualified candidates.
According to a media report, 14,623 candidates have been able to make it to the JAM cut off this year, which is over 23 per cent of the total appeared candidates. As per the report, a total of 73,360 candidates had registered for the examination, out of which only 62,654 candidates had finally taken the exam. This means that 10706 registered candidates decided to skip the examination, which is around 15 per cent of the total registered candidates. In other words, around 85 per cent of the registered candidates of JAM 2020 had appeared in the examination.
JAM is conducted every year for admission to MSc. programmes across the participating IITs. Along with the IITs, NITs and CFTIs also offer admissions to M.Sc/M.Sc (Tech) programmes based on candidates marks in the JAM entrance exam. However, it takes place through CCMN counselling.
