IIT Kanpur Startup Incubation Centre to host ASEAN-India Start-up Festival 2024

NEW DELHI : The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), at IIT Kanpur, is set to host ASEAN-India Start-up Festival 2024. The event is being held in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the government of India, and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
The event is set to begin from November 28 to November 30, 2024, at Vivanta Taj. The event aims to bring together entrepreneurs and innovators from India and the 10 ASEAN countries to strengthen cross-border collaborations and promote innovation, the IIT Kanpur statement said.
The festival will highlight deep-tech and sustainable innovations, featuring solutions from 60 Indian startups and 40 ASEAN startups.
The event will host several eminent dignitaries, including Jitendra Singh, minister of science and technology, government of India; Abhay Karandikar the secretary of DST; Manindra Agrawal the director of IIT Kanpur, including other esteemed senior government officials and industry leaders, the IIT Kanpur statement added.

Three-day ASEAN India Start-up Festival 2024
The three-day program will feature a range of activities, including seminars, startup exhibitions, pitch competitions, and networking sessions. The activities are designed to encourage B2B and G2G collaborations, furthering innovation-driven economic ties.
"The event will conclude with industry visits to organizations in the Delhi-NCR region, offering participants an opportunity to explore India’s innovation ecosystem," the IIT Kanpur statement adds.
