IIT Madras extends the dates to attend defect(s) marked on GATE 2019 application form

NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 1: IIT Madras has again extended the dates to attend the marked defect(s) on GATE 2019 application form. The last date to make the required changes regarding the same is now November 2. Earlier the dates were extended from October 25 to 28 and then till 31. The application for the candidates who will not attend the defect(s) by November 2 will not be considered for GATE 2019. However, the window of paper change request was closed on October 25.

Candidates who have not attended the application defect(s) till now are requested to rectify the same immediately to avoid rejection of the application. To make the changes, the candidates will have to login into their account using the required credentials.

The candidates can request for a change in the test city from November 16. However, to avail this facility they will have to pay an additional amount of fee. Candidates can now change the personal details in the application form by paying the requisite fee wherever applicable.

The admit card will be released online on January 4. Candidates are advised to check all the details mentioned on it and download it as it is a mandatory document to appear for the exam.

The authorities will release the online mock test in November for the candidates to get familiar with the online pattern and improve their preparation level. Candidates will be able to access the mock test free of cost.

GATE 2019 is to be conducted on February 2, 3, 9 & 10 for admissions to M.E./M.Tech and Ph.D. programmes at IITs, IISc, NITs, GFTIs and other Universities in India. A new paper "Statistics" has been announced from this year.
