GATE 2027 registration begins at gate2027.iitg.ac.in; apply by September 27

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has started the online registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 today. The GATE 2027 registration link is active on the official GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal, gate2027.iitm.ac.in.

GATE 2026 exam will be held on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2027. The examination will be conducted for admission to master's, direct doctoral and PhD programmes in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts and humanities at participating institutes.

Registration through DigiLocker is mandatory for all Indian nationals. Candidates should create or update their verified DigiLocker account before applying for the GATE 2027 registration. The last date to apply with late fees is October 5, 2026.

• Visit the official GATE 2027 website
• On the homepage, find and click on registration/ application link
• Complete the registration by adding the required details
• Log in with the registration credentials
• Then fill out the application form with personal and academic details
• Select the required GATE papers
• Upload the supporting documents in the prescribed format
• Pay the application fee
• Submit and download the confirmation page for future reference
