IIT Patna Placements: 252 job offers; Highest package of Rs 61.3 lakh

IIT Patna placements 2021: The highest international package offered is from Accenture Japan, offering Rs 47.9 LPA to 3 students.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna placements 2021 witnessed a surge in job offers with 252 offers from various domestic and international companies.
The institute saw a significant jump in pre placement offers (PPOs) received by graduation students of BTech and MTech. In 2021, IIT Patna students have received 37 PPOs (pre-placement offers) being 54.16% higher in comparison to the previous year when it was 24.

A total of 87 companies from software and IT, finance and banking, analytics and consulting, core engineering, e-commerce, automobile, infrastructure, manufacturing and health care have recruited students for various profiles from IIT Patna.
The average package for BTech students this year is Rs 26.95 lakh and that for MTech students Rs 14.96 lakh.

The highest domestic package of Rs 61.3 LPA has been offered to 9 students each, from Oracle. Other highest domestic packages include Atlassian offering Rs 57.4 LPA to 6 students, MTX offering Rs 51.10 LPA to 1 student, Adobe India offering Rs 48 LPA to 9 students, Google India offering Rs 46.5 LPA to 10 students for the SWE role.
The highest international package offered is from Accenture Japan, offering Rs 47.9 LPA to 3 students.

The other top recruiters include Larsen and Toubro, Sprinklr, Deloitte, NSL Hub, Dhani, Optum, Media.net, Bosch, Gameskraft, Mathworks, Trilogy Innovations, Smartcoin etc.
More than 30 new companies have participated in the campus recruitment for the first time such as Zomato, Plutus Research, Oyo Rooms, Texas Instruments, Housing.com, Tata Electronics, Netapp, Unacademy, Searce, Flipkart, Qualcomm, Paytm, Tata Digital, Sterlite Technologies.

In BTech, the department of Computer Science and Engineering topped in the list with 96% placements followed by Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering.
Kripa Shankar Singh, training and placement officer, IIT Patna said that placement has seen a steady increase in the average package in this session of 2021-22 as compared to the previous academic year.
