IIT Roorkee to conduct JEE Advanced 2019 on May 19

NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 12- Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) Advanced will be held on May 19, 2019 (Sunday). Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, under the guidance of JAB will be conducting the national level engineering entrance exam in the computer-based mode, completely. The entrance exam is a gateway for admissions to IIT’s, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and other premier institutes. In order to apply for JEE Advanced candidates will to appear and qualify JEE Main 2019. Authorities will release the online application of JEE Advanced tentatively in the first week of May.

From 2018, the engineering entrance exam is being conducted in online mode. Candidates appearing for JEE Advanced have to appear and qualify both the papers which consist of questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
If we look at the figures, In 2018, as many as 231024 candidates qualified the entrance examination. Out of these qualified candidates, only 1, 64, 822 have registered for JEE Advanced 2018.
The entrance exam is held across multiple exam centres, around 155 cities across India and 6 cities abroad. These exam centres of JEE Advanced are divided into zones which candidates have to choose at the time of filling the registration form. There are seven zones namely- IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIT Madras.
IIT Roorkee will be releasing other details related to JEE Advanced 2019 soon.In order to appear for the entrance exam, candidates will have to follow and adhere to certain rule and regulation as stated by the authorities. As per the officials, candidates appearing for the entrance exam are not allowed to carry mobile phones, earphones, smart/digital/programmable watches, Bluetooth, health band or any other electronic gadgets. Apart from this candidate found with any printed/blank/handwritten paper, log table etc will not be allowed to complete the examination. Also, candidate violating any of the rules mentioned at the authorities at any stage of the examination, it will lead to the cancellation of his/her candidature.
