IIT Roorkee Placement: Students land 484 job offers by third day

NEW DELHI: After the conclusion of the third day of placement drive at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, job offers saw a rise reaching up to 484 offers.
Till the first slot on day three, around 107 recruiters had participated in the virtual placement season. The number of recruiters has exponentially increased from only 25 companies hiring on the first day.
The placement drive in IITs across the country is being held in online mode due to the coronavirus lockdown and began at the established IITs on December 1. The students of IIT Roorkee have also received seven international job offers despite the pandemic.
Top recruiters included companies like Accenture Japan, Axis Bank, Adloid, Clumio, DG TAKANO Co., Ltd., Dgraph, Eaton, HiLabs, Icertis, Navi, Oil India Ltd., Praxis Global Alliance, Paytm, Publicis Sapient, Rupeek, Sapient, Standard Chartered, Udaan, ZS Associates India Pvt. Ltd. etc.
IIT Roorkee got a promising start of the placement season on Tuesday with 272 offers and 153 pre-placement offers compared to 139 PPOs last year. The highest annual CTC offered has also increased from Rs 60 lakh to Rs 80 lakh in this virtual placement season.
