IMI Kolkata Placements: 100% PGDM students placed; highest salary at Rs 20 lakh

NEW DELHI: The International Management Institute (IMI) Kolkata successfully concluded placements for the Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) batch 2020-22. 100% PGDM students of IMI Kolkata have been placed. The highest salary package received by a student at IMI Kolkata is Rs 20,70,000 per annum. IMIK has engraved a place for itself even during a pandemic year, said an official statement from IMI Kolkata.

While the highest salary achieved by an IMI Kolkata PGDM student in placements 2022 is 20 lakh per annum, the average salary stood at Rs 9.12 LPA. The median salary this year stood at Rs 8.71 LPA. Moreover, the average CTC for the top 50% of the batch stood at Rs 10 LPA.
Some of the top recruiters which participated in the placement drive on campus include JSW Steel Limited, HSBC (India), TresVista, IFFCO, Byju’s, Deloitte, Deloitte India, EY, KPMG, PwC, Dr. Lal Pathlabs, Firstsource Solutions Limited, Xiaomi, Amazon, NephroPlus, ICICI Prudential AMC, Tech Mahindra, TCS, L&T Financial Services amongst others.

As many as 33 new recruiters participated in the placements process at IMI Kolkata for the PGDM Class of 2021 – 23. Consulting domain emerged as the largest recruiter for the class at IMI Kolkata with 43% followed by BFSI at 30% of the batch getting placed in this sector.
IMI Kolkata ranked 52nd in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking 2021 for the management category. According to the NIRF data, in the year 2019-20, 158 students graduated from IMI Kolkata and 145 students got placed with the median salary at Rs 8,0,5000.
