NEW DELHI : India is celebrating 75 years of independence today, August 15 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisting the national flag at the Red Fort at Delhi. On Independence Day 2022, universities across the country are celebrating in their own way. The Government of India also launched ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign this year.

“Celebrating the history of 75 golden years of independence of the country, the Science Institute under #अमृतमहोत्सव organized a cultural evening today on the eve of 76th Independence Day, in which a colorful program was presented by the students of the institute,” BHU tweeted. Aligarh Muslim University organised a mini marathon on the eve of Independence Day 2022. “AMU observes 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotav' celebrating 75 years of India's Independence AMU VC inaugurates Fit India Freedom: Mini Marathon,” the university tweeted.

APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) tweeted, “Flag hoisting was done in the university today on the auspicious occasion of 76th Independence Day. Vice Chancellor Prof. PK Mishra, in his special address, reminded the sacrifices and sacrifices of the great freedom fighters of the country and said that we have to fulfill the responsibility we have towards the country with full devotion.”
