India Post GDS recruitment 2026 notification out for 28,740 vacancies; apply from January 31

India Post Recruitment 2026: Eligible candidates will be able to apply for the GDS, BPM, and ABPM posts through the official websites at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
The India Post has issued the notification for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment 2026 of 28,740 vacancies. The registration for GDS, Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) recruitment 2026 will start from January 31 on the official website, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
The last date to apply for India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 is February 14, while the fee payment window will remain open till 5 pm on February 16.
The recruitment board will open the application correction window from February 18 to 19, 2026. During this time, candidates can make changes to certain details in their submitted online application by paying the required correction fee.

The first shortlisted candidates list will be announced on February 28. The shortlist PDF will include the division name, office, post name, community, registration number, percentage of marks obtained, and document verification venue.
Candidates who have passed Class 10 and are between 18 and 40 years of age are eligible to apply for the India Post GDS Recruitment 2026. Candidates will be selected based on their Class 10 marks.
For ABPM and GDS posts, the pay ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 24,470, while for BPM posts, it ranges from Rs 12,000 to Rs 29,380 per month.
